Kingdom Hearts 1

Hello! sorry I haven't been posting a lot lately. I totally forgot my password to my g-mail, so I couldn't log onto my blogger account.. Anyways, i remembered it so now I'm back.

Since school is pretty much almost over, I've started playing TONS of video games. Most of them are Japanese-based, only because the majority of them were Final Fantasy...
Anyways, I'll be reviewing Kingdom Hearts. It's an AMAZING game developed by Square Enix.

I remember seeing one of my favorite bloggers talking about the game and saying it was a great game so why shouldn't I try playing it?
And dang, it's a great game. I finished it within 5 days (I was sick this whole week with food poisoning :c )

Here's a short summary of the game:
Sora, a 14 year old boy, lived on an island with his best friends. One day, they all decided to search the world because they wanted something more than living on a tiny island. But the night before they were going to leave, a random storm comes around and separates the three into separate and unknown worlds. Sora then joins new friends in search of his old friends and travels different worlds. Not only that, but it turns out Sora is the legendary key wielder that everyone is after.

I recommend anyone who likes Final Fantasy related games to play this
.
Like get up and play it right now.
Unless you're busy.. or standing.

Goofy, Sora and Donald
The game includes cameo appearances of a bunch of Final Fantasy characters, including Yuffie and Leon. If you haven't already noticed, the game also includes many many manyyyy Disney characters. The worlds you (Sora) travel are different Disney "worlds". For example, there's Agrabah (Aladdin's world) and Olympus Coliseum (Hercules' world).

Characters:

Sora
The main character. This is who you're playing as.
He's a 14 year old boy with brown spiky hair and deep blue eyes. He has giant shoes.. O.O
While you play him, you'll be accompanied by Donald and Goofy.
He's the legendary keyblade wielder, which means you fight with a key. Even though that sounds lame, the keys look pretty badass. You fight the Disney villains and the Heartless. The Heartless are black shadowy monsters that are pretty much the darkness within people's hearts. They are all after the keyblade for some reason (you'll find out once you play it!) Sora is a very kind guy who cares about his friends more than anything. He'll do anything in order to save his friends, even if it hurts him.

Riku Sora's best guy friend.
He's 15 years old and has white spiky hair and blue eyes.
Like Sora, he cares about his friends a lot and also loves adventures.
Though he's Sora's friend, you don't fight alongside Riku. Actually, it isn't re
ally sure what he does until later on in the story (Sorry.. I can't spoil it..)
Riku is super cool. He's stronger and more cooler than Sora. And cuter. teehee.

Kairi
Sora's girl best friend, not his girlfriend though!
Kairi is a cute 14 year old girl with short red hair.
Sora is mainly looking for her throughout the series, considering he already met up with Riku after being lost. Kairi is a sweet and cheerful girl.

Donald and Goofy
I decided to do these two together since they have a lot in common.
Donald and Goofy are part of the Royal Knights of King Mickey's court. They were ordered by King Mickey to assist Sora and help save the world.
Donald is the court's magician, while Goofy is the court's captain.
Donald uses a staff to fight with and mostly uses magic, while Goofy uses a shield and uses mostly defense.

If you guys have never seen any Disney-related films with Donald or Goofy:
Donald is a short-tempered hilarious duck. He's serious, but is very caring.
Goofy is a bit.. slow. He isn't very smart but he's incredibly kind and loves his friends.

Though there are MANY characters, I listed the ones you will most often see. ^^

My Review:
Loveeeeeeee loved loved loveeed loved loved loved x10000000 this game. Literally the best game I have ever played. It has everything I enjoy when looking at a game - amazing plot, touching moments, hilarious characters, great villains, and so much more.
I have friends who say "Kingdom Hearts has taught me so much". Before playing this game, I thought they were boneheads. How can a video game be inspiring? Well, I have to admit I was a jerk and a liar because this game was beautiful. It teaches good morals such as always keeping your friends near your heart and having dreams.
The controls are very easy.

X = attack/ "okay"
 = special ability.
= interacting with your team/ command them to do something
O = cancel, jump, swim, ascend.
Left analog = move
Right analog = change views
← ↑ → ↓ = left, up, right, down/ move
Start= start menu

While playing the game, you will be guided of how to play.

Not only does this game have a great plot, but amazing OSTs and the OP is fabulous. Japanese singer Utada Hikaru sings Simple and Clean in English if you're playing the English version, and Japanese if you're playing the Japanese version of the game. I think the English version of Simple and Clean is played in all other language versions of the games.

The art is also great! If you want to compare it to any other game, compare it to Final Fantasy. Realistic looking characters, beautifully drawn scenes, and just look at the cover of the game. It's so pretty!

Kingdom Hearts 1 is a prequel to Kingdom Hearts 2, but also a sequel to Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep. There are many games in the series, including Kingdom Hearts 1.5 remix, Kingdom Hearts 358/2, and Kingdom Hearts 3D. Not only that, but these games are available in different consoles. Some of them are playable on the PS2, PS3, PS4, 3DS, DS, Gameboy, and even the new XBOX. I have yet to play any of the other games, but I am about to start Kingdom Hearts 2 next week. I will let you guys know how it goes.
